The Story

Bringing the true flavor of Jamaica to Augusta was the original vision behind Raes Coastal Cafe, and that spirit still shapes the experience today. What began as a way to offer something transportive has grown into a place where creekside breezes, charcoal grills and familiar faces come together. Outdoor seating beside the putt putt course adds to the relaxed setting, giving guests a space that feels removed from the everyday.

Known for jerk chicken wings, a house salad many call their favorite, and key lime martinis, Raes also grills Jamaican jerk chicken over charcoal on site and keeps Red Stripe ice cold behind the bar. Though recognized for seafood, their ribs have earned a loyal following of their own. The original recipe book remains unchanged, a steady thread through seven floods and a hurricane. Today, Raes serves multiple generations of families. It’s the kind of place where milestones happen and quality is never compromised.
