Little Guide Augusta • Experience Local • Pg. 87
Augusta is an art-centric city with public art, concerts, festivals, museums, performances, theater, indie films, and art galleries!
Our public art includes murals, painted traffic boxes, and street art. The Augusta Sculpture Trail is a free public art exhibition featuring a large selection of original sculptures by national artists, on display in the heart of downtown through December 2026.
New in 2026, we have the Augusta Music & Songwriter Festival on May 15 and 16th right next to the Savannah River at the Depot. Performers include K.R.I.T, Shawn Mullins and many more. You also don’t want to miss the award-winning Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival on September 18-20. The festival features a global food village with authentic cuisine from around the world, six stages including grammy-winning performers, over 130 juried fine artists booths, a Family area with kids’ activities, street performers, young artists market, and so much more!
