2025 marks another exciting milestone for Kim Holwell, owner of Twisted Sisters!, as her beloved shop continues its legacy of style, fun, and community. Last year was extra special as she celebrated 20 years in business and welcomed her daughter, Taylor Holwell, into the fold after college graduation. “I started Twisted Sisters! in 2004 when Tay was just 2 years old, and she’s grown up in the business. Having her here now is a dream come true,” Kim shares.
The mission of the Barnabas Center is to provide help and hope to individuals and families in need throughout Nassau County, and to improve their stability, health and well-being. Individualized services are offered through the on-site medical and dental clinics, a large food pantry, empowerment assistance programs and more. Supported by more than 400 volunteers, Barnabas Center is a much needed and loved resource in the Nassau County area. Their resale store helps create a revenue stream to support our services and programs. This allows the Barnabas Center to return 92 cents of every dollar to make a difference in Nassau County.
