The year 2024 is a special year for Kim Holwell,
owner of Twisted Sisters!, as her popular shop
celebrates 20 years of business. Another special
treat for this busy shop owner is that her daughter,
Taylor Holwell, has recently joined following college
graduation, lending a much-needed hand—especially
with the new online segment of the business quickly growing. “I could not be more
excited to have Taylor here with me now”, Kim says, adding “I started Twisted Sisters!
in 2004 in Quitman, GA when Tay was 2 years old and opened here in downtown
Fernandina Beach in 2005 so she has grown up in the business.”
Known as the “Fun Shop,” when you shop here you’ll find 6000 square feet of colorful
space to shop until your heart is content. You’ve got clothing, shoes, bags, accessories,
home goods and more. Another 600 square feet of shopping space has just been
opened offering more in the area of home goods and gifts!
Twisted Sisters! is so much more than just a store. It’s a haven…a respite…a place to
meet friends. Simply put, it’s a community of women helping women. “I am blessed
to have friends who work together with me every day! We have fun and we want our
customers to as well.” Oh, and a special treat for the husbands is the “time out” area
with TV and chairs provided, and if you are lucky, you may spot Sister Girl, the store kitty.
Kim admits, “She really owns the place… the rest of us just work here.”
