Howie’s Micheladas is built on a foundation of family, service, and quality. Growing up in a large family, Howie knew the importance of community, which inspired him to share his passion with Bakersfield and beyond. With over 15 years of bartending experience, Howie’s journey began while bartending at the local Mint Bar, where he perfected his Michelada recipe through trial and error. After winning 1st place in the 2018 Michelada Festival, Howie’s Micheladas was born.
What started as a way to make ends meet during the pandemic has grown into a beloved business. Howie began bottling his Michelada mixes, and soon after, he was at local farmers markets offering fresh Agua Fresca, a citrus fruit-based drink, along with house-made Chamoy rim paste, and hand crafted Chamoy Candies. Over time, Howie’s Micheladas has expanded to cater to local events and is now sold in over 100 stores.
