The Story

Community often starts over something simple—a cup of coffee and a place to sit awhile. For Heather Needles and her daughter, Ali Kocher, that belief became Rooted Coffeehouse. After relocating from Illinois to Evans in 2016, they missed the locally owned cafés where so much of life unfolded. Conversations, celebrations, hard seasons—many were shared across small tables with warm mugs in hand. They wanted to create that same sense of belonging here.

Rooted Coffeehouse opened in 2018 at the Market at Riverwood, born from a desire to serve quality coffee in a space designed for fellowship and connection. The name reflects both their season of planting roots in Evans and their commitment to staying rooted in Christ. Growth followed: a second location at Evans Towne Center in 2023 and a third at West Lake Commons in 2024. Rooted also brings the experience on the road with a mobile coffee cart for weddings and special events.
