Michele Holbrook’s journey of turning grief into a mission is truly inspiring. After losing her son, Chandler, to a fentanyl overdose in 2020, she channeled her pain into helping others. What began as handing out Gatorade soon grew into something bigger with the help of her business partner, Marci Hamilton with Pineywoods Realty, and others.
Chandler’s Hope Clothes Closet is a mobile service providing clothing, dignity, and essential supplies to individuals facing addiction, domestic violence, homelessness, and natural disasters. What makes it unique is its “shopping” experience, allowing people to choose their own clothing, restoring a sense of dignity. In addition to clothes, blessing bags filled with toiletries, snacks, and shaving kits provide further support.
As demand grows, Michele, Marci, and their team are working to expand Chandler’s Hope across Florida and Southeast Georgia. The organization relies on donations. Supporters can contribute through the Chandler’s Hope Amazon wish list or directly.
Chandler’s Hope is a testament to resilience and the power of community. If you're looking to help, spreading awareness or donating can make a meaningful difference. Want to get involved? Reach out today.
