Where is the largest state sports museum in the US?
It’s right here in Macon: the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.
This 43,000-square-foot museum houses over 3,000
artifacts that bring to life the rich sporting history of
Georgia. The museum invites visitors to experience this
history through its ever-changing exhibits, full theater,
kids’ interactive area, and more.
From the old-style ticket booth entrance to the brick
columns in the rotunda, the museum makes a perfect
setting for birthday and holiday parties, business
meetings, seminars, rehearsal dinners, and movie nights.
The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame is happy to announce that, along with sponsor Georgia Power,
it will be presenting a special new exhibit quarterly, showcasing significant moments in Georgia
sports history. Be sure to check out “Georgia Power Powers Georgia Sports” in the museum’s
rotunda during your next visit!
There is always something new to see at the museum, including eight new inductees every
year. Experience a slice of Georgia’s sporting life. See you at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame!
