Are you really a Maconite if you haven’t had a
“Gooseburger” from Grey Goose Players Club?
Established in 1989, Joe Hernandez has carried on
the tradition of this iconic Macon eatery since 2005.
Joe’s Cuban mother had him cooking at an early
age, and he discovered that he liked experimenting
in the kitchen. Grey Goose is a true family affair.
This cozy, upscale, family-oriented tavern has been
a favorite of Maconites for more than 30 years.
Small brass plaques even mark the seats for a few truly dedicated regular patrons.
For lunch, enjoy Loaded Seafood Nachos, a Deluxe Bacon, Swiss, Mushroom Burger,
or a Grilled Grouper Sandwich. The evening menu features seafood, steaks, and
pastas. Pair your meal with melt-in-your-mouth Pimento Cheese Balls, or a housespecialty, the Prickly Pear Martini.
The two aquariums filled with colorful fish are quite popular with younger patrons.
Weekday lunch specials are posted online each Monday, while weekend specials
are posted on Thursdays. Bring the family to enjoy a piece of Macon at the “Home
of the Original Gooseburger”... actually a half-pound of ground chuck, but what a
great name!
