When new owners assumed management of
Jim Shaw’s Seafood by Skipper Zimmerman,
not one of them wanted to change a single
thing about the restaurant they knew
and loved. They recognized that Skipper’s
model of fresh fish, driven in weekly from
the Georgia coast, wasn’t broken and didn’t need fixing. For thirty years, the restaurant
created a legacy of delicious, fresh seafood from coastal Georgia. The new owners felt so
strongly about keeping things the same that they retained Jim Shaw’s long-time manager
to train new employees on how to run the business. They were even able to keep Skipper
around, who still delivers Jim Shaw’s weekly seafood shipments straight from Brunswick.

with a full bar and walk-up service. Their menu features crowd-pleasing Georgia shrimp,
