Will's Dills

Little Guide Augusta • Eat Local • Pg. 71

The Story

It began with a Bloody Mary and a bit of culinary defiance. In 2012, while living in Queens, Will McCranie decided a premium cocktail deserved better than a neon, shelf-stable garnish. He believed he could do better—so he did. What started as a DIY batch in a New York kitchen eventually followed Will home to Augusta. Alongside his now-wife, Lindsay, and a crew of lifelong friends, he began “slinging dills” at local pop-ups. When the demand became impossible to ignore, Will rolled the dice, trading the side-hustle for a full-time commitment to artisanal freshness.

The mission is simple: You deserve a better pickle. Forget the floppy, vinegar-soaked afterthoughts of the grocery aisle; these are crisp, vibrant, and packed with personality. While the habanero-infused Devil Dills have earned a cult following, the brand has recently expanded into rave-worthy pimento cheese. Found across the CSRA, from the shelves of Good Earth to the menu at Sheehan’s Irish Pub - Will’s Dills is proof that Augusta proudly supports its own.
