A diagnosis in 2004 changed the course of Jenn’s life—and ultimately led to Uprooted Vegan Cuisine.
Facing renal failure, she began searching for a healthier path forward, and by 2010 she and her daughter adopted a vegan lifestyle to improve kidney function and extend her health. What began as necessity grew into passion, especially after Jenn uprooted her life from Western New York to Aiken to support her daughter’s education. That leap became the foundation for a plant-forward concept challenging the notion that vegan food is limited or uninspired.
Today, Uprooted Vegan Cuisine offers weekly meal prep, custom catering, allergy-friendly desserts, and private classes crafted with locally sourced ingredients. From weddings and corporate events to regional pop-ups and service from her food trailer, Juniper, Jenn continues expanding her reach. She has built more than a menu—she’s created a community-centered approach to plant-based dining rooted in sustainability and purpose.
