The Story

Peanut’s Laundry began in Lincolnton with a simple goal: provide a clean, safe place for families to complete an everyday chore. Founded by Steven “Peanut” Dawkins, the business grew steadily before expanding into Augusta, where the next generation stepped into ownership and continued the family legacy with the same commitment. Self-serve laundry has always been the foundation, built around dependable machines and spaces designed to make routine tasks easier.

Today, every location is known for clean, modern facilities, friendly staff, and a customer-first approach. The Wash, Dry, and Fold option on Walton Way Extension has become popular, especially during Masters week. When Hurricane

Helene disrupted the area, the centers reopened quickly, giving residents and utility crews a dependable place to wash and regroup. Through growth and challenge alike, Peanut’s Laundry remains a family serving other families in clean, welcoming spaces for the community.
