The Story

For more than 30 years, Augusta/ CSRA Habitat for Humanity has worked across Columbia and Richmond Counties to make affordable homeownership possible. Through volunteers, community partnerships, and donor support, the organization helps families build stability, equity, and self-reliance through safe, attainable housing. A visible extension of that mission is the Habitat ReStore, a nonprofit home improvement shop offering discounted furniture, home goods, clothing, and building materials. Proceeds directly support local builds, and weekly Thursday and Friday sales give shoppers added incentive to browse and save. Donations can be dropped off behind the store or scheduled online for larger items. Habitat also invites volunteers to serve on construction sites, assist at the ReStore, or support fundraisers like the Build the Band competition at the Miller Theater. Every purchase, gift, and volunteer hour helps strengthen homes and the community they shelter for generations. "
