Dr. Dara Delancy has dedicated her career to helping children and families thrive. A clinical psychologist since 2007, she began at the Medical College of Georgia before transitioning to private practice at Families Forward, specializing in therapy and assessments. When her own children faced learning differences, she saw firsthand how overwhelming the journey can be, deepening her passion for supporting students and ensuring they receive the tools to succeed.
At the Educational Assessment Center, Dr. Delancy provides comprehensive assessments for children ages 3 through young adulthood. Using a team-based approach, she gathers insights from parents, teachers, and standardized assessments to develop individualized recommendations. Her expertise helps identify learning disabilities, attention challenges, and academic strengths, guiding families through school processes, intervention strategies, and accommodations. Beyond assessments, Dr. Delancy collaborates with schools and families to create behavioral, social, and educational plans. She participates in IEP meetings and consults with educators—ensuring students receive the support they need while empowering educators to help them thrive.
