Augusta is a thriving arts destination! Our city has
a flourishing collection of public art that includes
sculptures, murals, painted traffic boxes, and painted
street art. One of the popular attractions is the
Augusta Sculpture Trail, a free public art exhibition
that features numerous original sculptures by
national artists. The sculptures are on display in the heart of Downtown Augusta
through December 2026. The easy-to-walk trail is a perfect activity for families,
groups, visitors, and of course locals. The Greater Augusta Arts Council’s public art
Walking Tour apps make Downtown a fun cultural activity for people of all ages.
September 20–22, 2024 is the award-winning Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival.
The festival features a large global food village with authentic cuisine from around
the world, five stages of non-stop music, over 100 juried fine artists booths, a family
area with kids activities, street performers, young artists market, and so much more!
Don’t plan your weekend without visiting the Arts Council’s online Event Calendar
for a great selection of events in the Augusta River Region. Augusta’s Arts include
concerts, galleries, theater, open mics, museums, festivals, and all kinds of nightlife.
