Augusta is an exciting art-centric city with a flourishing collection of public art, concerts, festivals, museums, performances, theater, indie films, art galleries and more!
Our public art includes a wide array of sculptures, murals, painted traffic boxes, and painted street art. A brand-new installation of the Augusta Sculpture Trail kicked off in January. This free public art exhibition features a large selection of original sculptures by national artists. The sculptures are on display in the heart of downtown Augusta, and along the Savannah River through December 2026.
Of course, you don’t want to miss the award-winning Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival on September 19-21. The festival features a large global food village with authentic cuisine from around the world, six stages including award-winning national performers, over 150 juried fine artists booths, a family area with kids’ activities, street performers, young artists market, and so much more!
Don’t plan your weekend without visiting the Arts Council’s online event calendar for a great selection of things to do in the Augusta River Region.
