Augusta is a thriving arts destination with a flourishing
collection of public art, including building murals, painted
traffic boxes, and sculptures. The City’s newest attraction
is the Augusta Sculpture Trail—a free public art exhibition
that features ten original sculptures by nationally-known
artists. The sculptures are on display in the heart of downtown Augusta near the vibrant
Riverwalk, restaurants, and businesses through January 2025. The easy-to-walk trail
is perfect for families, groups, visitors, and locals. The Greater Augusta Arts Council’s
Walking Tour apps and free monthly Sculpture Trail concerts make it a fun cultural
destination for people of all ages.
The award-winning Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival is returning September 16-18,
2022. Stretching five city blocks, it features a large Global Food Village with authentic
cuisine from around the world, five stages of non-stop music, over 100 juried fine artists’
booths, and an interactive Family Area just for the kids.
Don’t plan your weekend without visiting the online Event Calendar to stay up to date
