Located in Daniel Village, one of the oldest shopping
centers in the south, the Village Deli is a neighborhood
favorite and iconic Augusta hometown diner owned
and operated by Heather Chancey. Heather, a longtime
employee, purchased the Village Deli after devoting
several years to the establishment. Its spacious dining
areas and friendly bar offer a range of seating suitable for everything from intimate
dates to larger family dinners. The atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly.
The Deli, as locals call it, is well known for its burgers, which are hand crafted daily
using fresh ground beef from the local Doug’s Meat Shop. Although known for their
burgers, the Deli’s extensive menu encourages customers to be adventurous, dig deep
and find their personal favorites. Oversized salads and handmade sandwiches such as
their Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich are hugely popular, as are the southern-inspired
dinner plates. Diners also love chowing down on one of the Village Deli’s delicious
desserts such as the Carrot Cake and Milky Way Mousse Pie. Much loved by regulars,
the Deli is the perfect place to venture to when you crave traditional American fare
with friendly service!
