from the sun. Opening The SolFood Kitchen fulfills her
vision of establishing a community-driven, all-encompassing
wellness café. From its name and concept, to the plates set
in front of customers, The SolFood Kitchen promises a
mosaic of global comfort foods in a cozy café setting that
tends to the mind, body, and soul.
Melanie combines her extensive knowledge of horticulture,
organic agriculture, and the hospitality industry, to cultivate
healthy, unique, and delicious meals that intrigue the taste buds.
Rounding out the SolFood team, sister, Kelly, and mother, Lynn, have 30+ years collective
experience in the medical industry. Their knowledge of the body’s needs fueled their desire
to delve deeper into the field of holistic health. Their approach meets local demand for
easier, more accessible means of maintaining a healthful lifestyle. Customers enjoy fresh
pressed juices, grain bowls and superfood lattes and organic and vegan wines, sakes, and
cocktails. Patrons also enjoy events like yoga, wellness fairs and live music. All of these
