Southbound Smokehouse is an Augusta institution.
When the opportunity arose to open a location in
North Augusta, owners George Claussen and Brian
Brittingham jumped at the chance. This wasn’t just any
location… this was the new Riverside Village, literally
on the banks of the Savannah at SRP Park in North
Augusta. It was a perfect match. Excellent drinks and award-winning food to go with an
evening of baseball, revelry and all other kinds of riverfront fun. When the doors opened,
the customers flooded in.
You’ll enjoy smoked barbecue in more iterations than you can shake a stick at! Barbecue
plates, barbecue eggrolls, barbecue sandwiches and even barbecue bowls. You’ll also
love their crispy wings and house-made sauces…all on the rooftop where you can take
in a baseball game or enjoy the view of the Savannah River. In addition to their unique
dining room, Southbound Smokehouse offers one-of-a-kind event services and large or
small event catering. And don’t forget to check out their special events!
