Serving others has always been a cornerstone of Mary Beth’s life. Raised in a family of medical professionals, caring for others was second nature. After college, she worked as a Respiratory Therapist in Jacksonville and surrounding areas before shifting her focus to senior care in 2005. Inspired by her grandmother, who lived with her family until she passed at 96, Mary Beth developed a passion for helping seniors remain in their homes as long as possible. Growing up in a three-generational household, she saw firsthand the benefits of “aging in place.”
After more than a decade in senior care, Mary Beth and her husband turned their vision into reality. During a trip to Scotland, they sketched out their dream on a napkin—to create a home care company that truly stays by their side. In 2018, By Your Side Senior Care was born.
Now in 2025, By Your Side proudly serves families across Northeast Florida, with locations in Fleming Island and Fernandina Beach. Mary Beth leads a dedicated team of caregivers committed to helping seniors maintain independence in the comfort of their homes.
