Jaybird Hammock Farm is a serene retreat where nature, wellness, and animal encounters come together. Owned by fourth-generation locals Jay and Tina Jenkins, the farm has been in their family for over a century. During the pandemic, they realized they had something special and opened their gates to the public in October 2023.
More than just a farm, Jaybird Hammock Farm is a sanctuary dedicated to preserving nature, fostering community, and promoting holistic wellness. Their mission is to provide a tranquil space where guests can reconnect with the land, animals, and themselves. Through sustainable practices, they protect the agricultural landscape and ensure their farm remains a refuge for both wildlife and visitors.
Home to 21 playful goats, two donkeys, a mini mule, free-range chickens, ducks, turkeys, and native wildlife, the farm offers unique experiences like goat yoga, guided nature walks with the herd, and peaceful hammock retreats. For deeper relaxation, guests can enjoy a sound bath meditation at dusk or a floating meditation on a paddleboard.
They also host Wild Oaks Explorers nature school and private events, fostering a love for the outdoors in both children and adults. Guided by nature and protected by Bo & Luke, their loyal Great Pyrenees, Jaybird Hammock Farm invites you to escape, unwind, and embrace the beauty of mindful living.
