bite. Owners Fernando and Irma Madrigal, natives of Mexico City, have been in the
restaurant industry since moving to the US in 1987. In 2007, the Madrigals made their
dream of owning a restaurant a reality. The restaurant is very much a family affair,
whether it’s Clara managing the floor, or Luis managing the kitchen, there is always a
Madrigal or two running around somewhere in the restaurant.
Katherine Madrigal, like most of the family, held many positions in the restaurant,
before taking on the role of General Manager. Katherine’s love of the restaurant shines
through in her commitment to preserving its legacy while introducing new and exciting
ideas to keep Mezcal, Spirit of Oaxaca fresh and engaging for both loyal customers
and newcomers alike. The Madrigal’s goal is to turn patrons into regulars and locals
into friends by providing exceptional food and service in a warm, lively environment.
