Named after founder Jan “Doc” Scholer who operated
the restaurant from its inception with his wife, Tricie,
Doc’s Porchside is now run by their son, Daniel. Doc’s has
been serving up lots of hospitality for 20 years, and looks
forward to another 20.
Let’s look at a sampling of the menu: Redneck Egg Rolls;
NOLA Baked Oysters; Pork Belly Burnt Ends; Crawfish Dip;
Shrimp and Grits; Mac and Cheese Skillets. You may well be
on your way to either of Doc’s Porchside locations already.
There are many other choices—southern-inspired dishes, shareable appetizers,
burgers, flatbreads. Options are not a problem at Doc’s. They have a popular brunch,
and have had great success accommodating large groups. Bring the team after a
game. Birthdays and reunions are easy and delicious. Having an event elsewhere?
Doc’s Porchside caters, too.
Tuesday and Thursday nights are for trivia; weekends, there is live music. And the
porch is a great spot for hanging out with friends. With 30 beers on tap, and lots of
televisions throughout, Doc’s is a sports fan’s dream.
