Originally a traditional folk ballad about the
everyday man, Abel Brown has now become
synonymous with modern cuisine delivered with the charm and tradition reserved for
high company. Owner and chef Todd Schafer chose the name as a celebration of the
restaurant’s blended cultural roots.
Todd is an experienced chef who brings more than just good food to the table. Inspired by his mother’s cooking, Todd ventured into the kitchen at the age of 15 and never left. His career took him to Atlanta where he worked at Ciboulette under Chefs Jean Banchet and Thomas Coohill, as well as Provence in Washington D.C., and Pinot Blanc in the Napa Valley. Open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, Abel Brown transforms dining out into a memorable experience, featuring a refined selection of cocktails, beers and wine, flawless service staff, and an enticing, ingredient-driven menu in simply elegant surroundings.
